How did you spend N6bn on Ramadan feeding, APC Challenges Gov Yusuf

All Progressive Congress, (APC), the major opposition party in Kano has commenced distribution of food commodities as palliative to the 44 Local Government areas of the state while challenging Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to come out and show to the people how he is spending N6 billion on Ramadan feeding.

Delivering an address while unveiling the distribution of the food items to their members at Dawkin Kudu Local Government Area on Saturday, the APC State Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, said that the party had come to the rescue of their supporters and indeed other indigenes to alleviate their economic hardship.

“The National Chairman of APC, Dr Umar Ganduje, the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Bichi, and host of others including myself and the Chief of Staff, Mallam Muhammad Garba, donated our money and purchased the rice for onwards distribution to our members as Palliative.

“You can see that we used our Personal money not donations from Dangote, BUA and the Federal Government to help our people but a whole state government is reallying on donations to gives out palliative and this is despite the fact that a whooping N6 billion is set aside for that purpose” the chairman stated.

He further explained that there is no way money would be set aside for a purpose and the issue will be left in secrecy, “the money, N6 billion, is not a small amount, the government should clearly spell out how and where they spent the money on Ramadan feedings”, he added.

Speaking the Chief of Staff to the APC National Chairman, Muhammad Garba, who represented his Boss, said they purchases 5, 840 50kgs bags of Rice, 1600 bags of Millets, 2000 cartoons of spaghetti to give out to their supporters and others in Kano.

Garba, explained that the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, coordinated the idea of the party palliative along with the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, and others, all of who contributed to the purchase of the food items.

He added that 448 wards of the 44 Local Government Areas in the state will benefit from the gesture which will be given to all party supporters, social media influencers of the party and other party staffers.

“Our National Chairman, Dr Umar Ganduje is also planning to ensure that this gesture of palliative distribution is sustained to be used as a means that will substantially cushion the effect of economic hardship which though is temporary and will soon be over with the incentives put in place by President Tinubu”.
